An expert in Inclusive Finance and SME financing, Mr. Mbengue has over 28 years of experience in the financial sector, holding various positions in Senegal and internationally (CGAP/World Bank, UNCDF, GROFIN, OKOICREDIT, KfW, CABINET REMIX, CREDIT MUTUEL du Sénégal, etc.). He is currently a senior consultant for UNCDF, focal point for German financial cooperation – KfW for the “Investing for Employment” facility, and technical advisor for MFI networks in Senegal, Burkina Faso, and Madagascar. He is a lecturer and member of the Board of Directors of the Boulder Microfinance program. He is certified in OMEGA Performance for SME management, in “Green Finance” by RENAC, and in “Digital Currency” by the Digital Frontiers Institute.
This course addresses major challenges that MFIs face in risk management, particularly in the context of digitalization and the use of AI. You will discover:
– The three lines of defense approach and the implementation of the ISO 31000:2018 standard through the ongoing risk assessment process.
– The use of AI, particularly generative AI, in risk management, regulatory compliance, fraud detection, etc.
– The challenges of adopting AI in finance (data privacy and security, regulatory and ethical uncertainty, incompatibility of management systems with AI platforms, etc.).
In addition, you will have the opportunity to explore practical experiences of using AI in risk management through self-learning sessions and you will be able to exchange ideas with experts and other industry professionals.
